Who We Are
Abraham Youth and Family Services was born from the vision of its founder, Ancell Hamlin, while growing up in what many would consider a challenging environment. At an early age he began to carve out his niche as a leader in his community and advocate for children. He realized very early on that his current circumstances did not define him nor did they determine his future potential and he was determined to pass this belief on to the people he served. As a community activist, he quickly realized that quality mental health and substance abuse services dedicated to serving the community were not present or easily accessible. So, he set out to ensure that those who needed support received it from caring and committed individuals who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those who need it the most.

Our mission is to help our clients stand in their purpose by supporting them on their journey to reclaim the life they were meant to have. Our number 1 priority is to help our clients take their lives back. We do this by providing a support system to help our clients achieve their unique goals using an individualized program of care that provides and connects them to wrap around mental health and substance abuse services.
