About RCSU

Residential Crisis Stabilization Unit (RCSU) services are short term acute crisis supports that last from 5 to 15 days. These services are for individuals who may be experiencing a crisis due to their mental health diagnosis. The purpose of these services is to be a buffer between crisis and hospitalization, serve as a step-down service following an inpatient hospitalization, and to provide assistance with identifying community resources to ensure ongoing stabilization. These services are provided in a residential facility that offers 24-hour supervision and support. All services are provided using a person-centered and individualized approach.
